On the other side of Chora is Tourlos beach only three kilometers to the north off which the cruise ships anchor as it is the most secure harbour on the island when the north wind is blowing.This long and narrow stretch faces west and runs the entire lenghth of this extensive bay. Tourlos Bay was known in previous years more for its hotel development than its beach facilities.

What to see in Tourlos beach in Mykonos

Ayios Georgios Church: Near there is the small church of Ayios Georgios with its gleaming red dome and the Russian icons on its iconostasis. Near the church of Ayios Georgios you can take a narrow path to the chapel of Ayios Georgios "Spiliotis" ("Cave-Dweller).

Ayios Georgios chapel:  is built in the hollow of a rock. Right next to it is the beach of Ayios Stephanos, named after the little church that lies at the end of the bay. The area has been completely developed touristically and attracts a multitude of visitors.
